This worthy cause is costly to operate! Fortunately, the generosity of local businesses has sustained us over the years, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Our committee and students (and their parents and teachers) would like to thank all of our current and past sponsors for their support.
We believe in this cause. We see evidence of our impact before, during and after the Fairs. We are making a difference by increasing student’s awareness of the expense of life’s necessities and college, how a good career can ease financial stress and emphasizing the importance of how establishing, maintaining and protecting a good credit score will position them for a lifetime of financial stability.
Would You Like to Support Us? Wonderful!
There are a few options:
1) Springfield Technical Community College is one of our partners, which helps us establish our 501(c)(3) status. If 501(c)(3) is a requirement for your donation, you may contribute via the STCC Foundation by making your check payable to “STCC Foundation/Credit for Life”.
2). Credit for Life at Elms College is partnering with the 501(c)(3) Junior Achievement of Western Mass and the high schools in Chicopee. Starting in the 2014-15 school year, finances necessary for life will be incorporated into a portion of the high school curriculum. This will be done using a computer-based simulation called Finance Park Virtual, which we envision being sponsored by local Chicopee businesses to help us build a “virtual Chicopee”, where students can shop for and purchase goods and services offered by the supporting businesses. Each storefront will carry the sponsor’s brands, and once inside the virtual store, it can be made to look like the inside of your business! Sponsorship levels vary, and more information can be found at http://www.jawm.org/
Additionally, your business may wish to invest $250 to sponsor your own booth at the Credit for Life Fair at Elms College, where you will get an opportunity to talk with students about various products you sell. If so, you may make your check payable to JAWM – Elms CFL Fair and mail to:Jennifer Connolly, President JAWM 1500 Main Street, Suite 217 Springfield, MA 01115
3). Otherwise, please make your check payable to Credit for Life and send donations to:Sue Scantlen, Credit for Life Treasurer c/o Hampden Bank 19 Harrison Avenue Springfield, MA 01105 Note: Please indicate if you would like to fund a specific fair or the general CFL fund.
